‘Avenger’ kills two, injures one


To avenge his brother’s murder in Malikhanwala, a young man, along with his accomplices, allegedly killed two opponents and seriously injured one.
Police have shifted the bodies for autopsy and registered a case against six people under provisions of murder, attempted murder and aiding and abetting against the fugitives and other accomplices.
According to a case filed in Saddar police station by Yasir Ali, son of Muhammad Amin, alleged that his brother Ali Hassan was sitting in a shop with his friends at Khohwala Chowk when Rizwan and his brother Ikram-ul-Haq, along with their accomplices, allegedly opened fire indiscriminately.
As a result Ali Hassan and Amir Butt died on the spot while Qaisar Sultan was critically injured and shifted to the Civil Hospital.
The condition of the injured was said to be critical.
According to Saddar Police Station, Muhammad Irfan, brother of police constable Imran Venus, was killed by his opponents and his case was registered in Saddar Police Station.
Earlier in the case, Saddar Police Station had arrested an accused in Karachi.
Police have registered a case against three brothers, Imran Venus, Rizwan and Ikram-ul-Haq and other accused Muhammad Faisal and Moeez and started raids to nab the accused.
Several incidents involving revenge killings had taken place in the province over the year.
For instance, four people had been killed and three others injured in an ambush on Sandral Road, Khushab, over an enmity some months ago.

Those killed had been identified as Raja Mohammad Yaqoob, Mohammad Tahir, Mohammad Naveed and Nasr Iqbal.
According to police sources, the deceased Raja Yaqoob and seven others, including the driver of the car, had been going from Jhangian to Joharabad when a group of assailants opened indiscriminate fire on them on Sandral Road.
The sources said that in 2016, the deceased Yaqoob’s son was killed allegedly by members of the Awan group over a trivial matter.
In revenge, Yaqoob’s other son Raja Zeeshan and his accomplice allegedly killed Gulsher Khan, father of Hasham Khan, and fled abroad.
Khushab DPO Muhammad Naveed visited the spot where Punjab Forensic Science Agency and Crime Scene Unit were present to gather evidence.
