Balochistan top leadership ‘reach Islamabad’

Amid the brewing political crisis in Balochistan, the top leadership of the province on Wednesday reached the federal capital in an effort to resolve the issue.
According to sources, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal, Governor Syed Zahoor Agha, and five angry members have reached Islamabad. Some of the leaders had a meeting with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and Defence Minister Pervez Khattak.
A delegation comprising Balochistan Assembly Speaker Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Senator Manzoor Kakar, Abdul Rehman Khetran, and Naseebullah Bazai called on Defence Minister Pervez Khattak.
They discussed the provincial political situation arising after the no-confidence motion tabled against CM Jam Kamal in the assembly. Khattak stressed the need for resolving the differences amicably.

However, disgruntled leaders ruled out any chance of talks with Kamal till the latter’s resignation. No other option is acceptable than minus-Kamal, they added.
Meanwhile, acting Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) President Zahoor Ahmed Buledi urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to play a role in resolving the province’s political crisis.
In a tweet, he said that some people in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Balochistan chapter are also against Kamal’s leadership. He added that one lawmaker of the PTI has also signed the no-trust move against the chief minister.
