John Wick: Chapter 4 has emerged as a surprise success at the box office. The film came out of nowhere and suddenly started a bit of chatter a couple of weeks. By the time the paid preview shows of the film were announced for Thursday evening, the buzz started around this being the next big screen entertainer. Audiences gave a nod of approval as well which resulted in a healthy Friday and then the growth over Saturday pretty much established that this one was going to be a success. With Sunday collections on the same lines as Saturday, the film is a winner. This can well be seen from the fact that Rs. 9.50 crores* more came on Sunday which has resulted in the weekend numbers standing at Rs. 27 crores*. This is an impressive number for a film, which doesn’t have a franchise backing to it, and it could perhaps be the first time ever that box office has risen all the way down with the fourth instalment. Unless something drastic happens today, the film is a hit as over Rs. 75 crores lifetime is pretty much assured here and it could cover an even larger distance since there is only Bholaa to contend with for four weeks.Meanwhile, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is collecting as well, what with Rs. 9 crores* more coming in the second weekend. The film has held well and is now seeing less than 50% drop from last weekend to now. The growth during the last three days was particularly impressive as it stays on to be the highest collecting Bollywood movie. Currently standing at Rs. 129.34 crores*, it will now be making its way past the Rs. 140 crores mark.As for Mrs. Chatterjee v/s Norway, the weekend to weekend hold was even better with Rs. 4.50 crores* more coming in. The elite is liking the film and with growth starting from Friday itself, the trending till Sunday was positive. Yes, the numbers are on the lower side but that’s also because the release is smaller as it’s aiming at niche segment. It needs to keep collecting though in order to get into that Rs. 22-25 crores range though Rs. 20 crores lifetime is now pretty much assured after the second weekend. On the other hand Bheed could just not collect and managed just Rs. 1.50 crores* post the first weekend. It will have a lifetime number in the range of Rs. 2 crores before moving out after first week.*Estimates. Final numbers awaitedNote: All collections as per production and distribution sources More Pages: John Wick: Chapter 4 (English) Box Office Collection , John Wick: Chapter 4 (English) Movie Review Loading…
