Boy allegedly killed by police laid to rest


The family members of Ramiz Khalil on Thursday night called off their protest after government assured the family that strict action will be taken against those police officials involved in the brutal murder and proper inquiry will be conducted in the case to fix responsibility.
After the sit-in was called off, the coffin was shifted back to Turbat and properly buried in the ancestral graveyard.
His last rites were performed in Salo area of Turbat. Hundreds of people from different walks of life hailing from Turbat and nearby areas had staged a sit-in in Quetta. It ended on Thursday night after successful talks between the family of Ramiz Khalil and the provincial government representatives.
Hundreds of people attened the funeral of the child in Salu Buleda, Turbet.
Leaders of All Parties Kech, Comrade Zarif Rind, Maulana Abdul Hafeez Mengal, Turbat Press Club Organizer Majid Samad, Senior Members Asad Baloch, Salahuddin Salafi, JUI Sherani Leader Maulana Ismail Buledi, Border Trade Union President Hafiz Nasruddin Zamrani, Turbat Solnier Dost, Mubarak Baloch, Ehsas Welfare leader Junaid Murad Baloch, BNP Awami leader former Nazim Abdi Khan Rind, Arif Qureshi, Mutabar Younis, BSO leader Khalifa Barkat, Bus Transport Union Makran president Yasir Azadi and other political and social leaders also participated.
The child was killed when police raided a house as Ramiz’s father was nominated in an FIR and wanted to police. Police exchanged fire with him in which the child was also killed. Police later claimed that Ramiz was killed by his own father by mistake and then blamed on police. The family said that the child was killed in cold blood after his father escaped.
