Sindh rejects onion export ban

KARACHI:

Sindh Agriculture Adviser Manzoor Hussain Wassan said that the Sindh Government rejected the unilateral federal decision to export onions.
Moreover, Manzoor Wassan alleged that the federal minister for finance knew nothing about agriculture and his decision will cause losses to farmers and exporters. “As soon as the Sindh onion arrives, the federal government bans its export. Sindh’s production has increased by 20% from the current season. Even last season, the federation did not pay heed to our letter and banned the export of onions and tomatoes.”
