Balochistan Governor Syed Zahoor Ahmad Agha has directed authorities concerned to resolve the prevailing issues pertaining to “reduced gas pressure” and “overbilling” being faced by the public in the country’s largest province.
Speaking to a delegation led by Balochistan Provincial Ombudsman Nazar Baloch at the Governor House on Tuesday, he said providing gas to domestic consumers at a flat rate could bring a lot of convenience.
The governor added that it was important to formulate a comprehensive strategy in this regard.
During the meeting, delegates lodged their grievances and also presented their demands to the governor.
General Manager Sui Southern Gas Company Madani Siddiqui responded to questions and also briefed Governor Agha about the steps taken by the gas company recently to resolve the aforementioned issues.
On the occasion, the governor said the provision of a gas facility and laying gas pipelines in Quetta should be expedited so that public grievances are resolved in a timely manner.
Representatives from various walks of life, including Advisor to the Federal Ombudsman Sarwar Brohi, were also present in the meeting.
